Technical Services – Park Avenue Podiatry Clinic

  • Expressions of Interest seeking casual ad hoc and short-term backfill CSSD Technician opportunities for clinic support leave coverage
  • Salary: $45.30 per hour (including 25% casual loading) plus superannuation

About the opportunity
As the appointee you will, under general direction, provide technical expertise and support to staff and students for any practical activities or research. You will work within the Podiatric clinical and surgery teaching laboratories and will be required, under local direction, to perform clinical packaging and sterilising duties in line with WA Health Department hospital licencing requirements.

To be considered for this role, you will demonstrate:

  • Year 12 or equivalent competency
  • HLT37015 Cert III in Sterilisation Services or equivalent qualification
  • Considerable relevant experience at an appropriate level
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills
  • Well-developed organisational skills and demonstrated ability to prioritise and meet deadlines
  • Proficiency in a range of computing skills including word processing, spreadsheets, email and online/internet based systems
  • Ability to work independently, show initiative and work productively as part of a team

This position will require you to have the ability to fit the physical requirements of the position.

About you
To be successful in this position, you will have relevant experience and possess safe work practices in relation to clinic operations and services. A HLT37015 Cert III in Sterilisation Services or equivalent qualification is essential. Applicants need to demonstrate their vaccination status and be willing to comply with WA Department of Health requirements due to the Podiatry clinic being a licenced hospital facility.
