  • One Level B and two Level B/C position, full-time tenurable appointment
  • Base salary range: Level B: $108,509 - $128,404 / Level C: $132,381- $152,279 p.a. plus 17% superannuation

About the Department

The Department of Computer Science and Software Engineering under the School of Physics, Mathematics and Computing is renowned for its award-winning researchers, teachers and facilities. The broad-based undergraduate and postgraduate programs are complemented by a wide range of research activities and the School is a leader in developing graduates with high level expertise in computer programming and the methods involved in performing complex computations and processing data. In the resource rich state of Western Australia the opportunities for partnership and collaborative research are extensive and the Department has well established links with industry. 

About the opportunity

This position will undertake independent teaching and research in the area of Computer Science and Software Engineering. You will be expected to make a long-term contribution to research and teaching excellence in the Department.  You should have University teaching experience in Computer Science, ideally including lecturing, unit co-ordination and assessment design as well as lab demonstration and other classes.

You will be a unit-coordinator and lecturer for a range of units taught by the Department in its undergraduate and postgraduate programs in Computer Science, Data Science, Cybersecurity, Artificial Intelligence, Software Engineering and Information Technology. Contribute to ongoing development of the Department's academic programs.
