Casual Tutors – Study Tours Program

  • Hourly rate: $185.21 plus superannuation.

About the opportunity
The University of Western Australia is seeking enthusiastic and engaging PhD candidates or Masters by Research students to join our Study Tours program as Casual Tutors. This role involves delivering tutorial-style lessons and interactive workshops to international students visiting UWA as part of their study tours.

This position is vital in providing international students with a high-quality educational experience during their study tour at UWA, helping to enhance UWA's reputation and fostering global engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver tutorials and workshops to groups of international students.
  • Conduct interactive demonstrations related to your area of research.
  • Engage students from diverse backgrounds, making content accessible and interesting.
  • Tailor sessions to the needs and interests of visiting groups.

About you
To be considered for this opportunity, you will demonstrate:

  • Current PhD candidate or Masters by Research student at UWA or another university in Western Australia.
  • Confident and engaging teaching style.
  • Excellent communication skills, particularly with non-native English speakers.
  • Ability to make complex topics understandable and interesting.
  • Experience in delivering interactive and engaging workshops.
