- An exciting opportunity to join a dynamic group of scientists and engineers in Coastal Oceanography.
- Full-time appointment on a fixed term basis for 12 months (renewable).
- Base salary range: $91,833– $97,052 p.a. (pro-rata) plus 17% superannuation.
About the area
The IMOS Ocean Radar Facility is part of the Coastal Oceanography group at UWA. The Group’s research encompasses coastal physical processes and their influence on biological, geological, climate processes on the continental shelf region, the nearshore (beach) zone and estuaries using field measurements, remote sensing and numerical modelling.

- Support ground breaking research on coastal physical processes
- Contribute to the operation, installation, maintenance of the IMOS Ocean Radar Facility.
About you
- Certificate IV, Diploma in electronics engineering or similar discipline or higher degree in engineering, marine science, or equivalent.
- Technical and practical knowledge of radio / telecommunications systems preferred.
- Familiarity in the use of Linux and programming.
- Ability to undertake field work in urban, semi-rural and remote locations.
- Excellent organisational skills and demonstrated ability to set priorities and to meet deadlines.
- Ability to work independently, show initiative and work productively as part of a team.
