About the opportunity
- Ensure solutions are created and maintained in alignment with best practice and internal standards.
- Work on business as usual, continuous improvement initiatives, and with project services team members on project delivery.
- Provide leadership across the full software development lifecycle, engage with internal customers, elicit software requirements and design, build, test, support and document solutions.
About you
- Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent competency.
- Relevant experience in developing, implementing, integrating, and maintaining complex application systems.
- Experience in developing cloud-native Web Apps and Function Apps on the Azure platform.
- Knowledge of relational database systems, Oracle APEX development tools, PL/SQL and JavaScript scripting.
- Experience across the full Software Development Life Cycle with an emphasis on analysis and development, or can demonstrate enthusiasm to build quickly on existing capabilities in this area.
- Gather and document requirements appropriate to the applied methodology, e.g. agile, waterfall.
- Recognise and resolve system related problems, work independently, and make necessary decisions within guidelines.
Outlining experience with the following will be highly regarded
- Experience programming with PHP.
- Demonstrated skills and experience in systems analysis, specification and development of information systems, preferably in a HR environment.
- Analyse business practices and develop web based workflow improvements that conform with organisational requirements.
- Experience developing and using Restful Web APIs.
- Automation of deployment and tests using tools such as Azure DevOps.
- Test-driven development and Unit and Integration testing using frameworks.
- Knowledge of SAML and OpenID Connect security protocols.
- ITIL Certification or demonstrated experience in ITIL processes.
- Previous Higher Education, Finance, HR, and Payroll system experience.
