  • We have an exciting opportunity for a post-doctoral researcher to support the bioinformatics program with Cancer Immunotherapy
  • Part-time 0.5 appointment on a fixed term basis for 12 months.
  • Base salary range: Level $80,520 – $108,362 p.a. plus 17% superannuation.

About the area

The Cancer Immunotherapy Unit located on the UWA QE2 campus is a multi-disciplinary team of researchers that aim to develop novel immunotherapies for cancer patients. Research in the bioinformatics program is conducted in collaboration with colleagues from the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre.

About the opportunity

  • Conduct various computational and bioinformatic analyses across several cancer immunology-focused research projects
  • play a crucial role in deciphering complex immunological patterns in this data
  • Liaise with fellow researchers at the Cancer Immunotherapy Unit (UWA) and the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre.

About you

  • PhD in relevant quantitative scientific field such as bioinformatics, physics, statistics, computer science or mathematics
  • Demonstratable strong academic record
  • Advanced skills in a scripting programming language such as R or Python
  • Advanced data analysis, data science or statistical skills in a scientific context
  • Experience with transcriptomics, single cell or spatial data analysis
  • Experience with analysis pipeline development
