Finance plays a critical role in ensuring financial stewardship through strategic advice, financial management frameworks, investment and endowment oversight, procurement, and compliance. The division is structured into three key pillars: Financial Compliance, Financial Performance, and Procurement, working collaboratively across the University to support strategic goals and operational excellence.
About the opportunity
- Lead the University's financial reporting and compliance functions, ensuring adherence to regulations and best practices.
- Oversee the preparation and review of financial statements, statutory reports, and audits.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in financial governance and reporting.
About you
- A degree in accounting, business, or a related field, with full professional membership of a recognised Australian accounting body.
- A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in financial reporting and compliance.
- Extensive knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards, statutory financial reporting, and financial legislation.
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing and developing high-performing finance teams.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication, and strategic advisory skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on continuous improvement.
