- Base salary range: $80,243 – $88,940 p.a. plus 17% superannuation.

About the opportunity
- Prepare the processing of spent clinical blood cultures to obtain isolated bacterial and fungal organisms
- Prepare linkage with these organisms with their corresponding clinical data
- Prepare and execute microbiological assays to characterise bacterial and fungal organisms
- Maintenance, and if required curation, of the physical collection and associated databases
About you
- Relevant tertiary qualification in microbiology, laboratory science, or clinical pathology
- Substantial knowledge of biosafety and other occupational health requirements for work within a PC2 microbiology laboratory
- Demonstrated experience in general microbiological techniques including bacteriology, mycology and molecular diagnostics
- Demonstrated substantial experience with characterisation of microorganisms by flow cytometry
- Ability to maintain high-quality records of clinical and analytical data
