University Hall (UniHall) is the residential college owned and operated by the University of Western Australia (UWA). Over 750 UWA students from over 50 countries live, socialise and study at UniHall making it a fun and exciting collegial community. The University Hall Housekeeping team manage and undertake housekeeping activities to support student living.
About the opportunity
- You will, under routine direction, provide a high level of physical and administrative support to the Housekeeping Supervisor at University Hall, and undertake direct supervision of newly employed housekeeping and cleaning staff as required and agreed with the Housekeeping Supervisor.
- Manage housekeeping services for conferences and events, oversee the supply and usage of chemicals for the housekeeping team and liaise with the Facility Manager regarding equipment maintenance and requirements.
- You will be second in charge of the Housekeeping Team and act in a supervisory role in the absence of the Housekeeping Supervisor.
About you
- Year 12 or equivalent competency.
- Relevant housekeeping experience at an appropriate level.
- Ability to work independently, show initiative, problem solve and work productively as part of a team.
- Proficiency in a range of computing skills including word processing, spreadsheets, databases, internet and email. We use StarRez (experience is not mandatory but will be highly regarded as will experience in a similar system).
Note:
- Regular shift work.
- Occasional weekend work.
- Current National Police Clearance Certificate.
- Able to fit the physical requirements of the position (pre-employment medical required).
