- Base salary range: $80,243 (pro-rata) plus 17% superannuation.
About the area
The Brand, Marketing and Recruitment (BMR) division provides organisational wide brand strategy and ongoing brand management, strategic marketing and planning, marketing communications activities, digital communication, research and segmentation. BMR provides sales and marketing planning and campaign assistance to help attract and recruit students. Marketing and recruitment activities planned and implemented by the BMR team are designed to help achieve the University strategic goals of brand and reputation building and attracting domestic and international students to study at UWA.
The Telephony Team within BMR manages the university's general telephone line and maintains staff and services directories. A solid understanding of various departments, teams, courses, and policies is essential for providing accurate and appropriate responses to inquiries.
About the opportunity
- Manage and operate the University’s general telephone line, ensuring timely and professional communication.
- Provide high-quality assistance and support to staff and customers, resolving inquiries efficiently.
- Supervise and lead a small telephony team, fostering collaboration, providing guidance, and ensuring service standards are met.
About you
- Substantial relevant experience in operating a PABX switchboard or a telephone concierge service, and/or holding a supervisory role in a customer service team environment.
- Highly developed organisational skills and demonstrated ability to set priorities and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and work productively as part of a team.
- Highly developed reading, written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills with a focus on rapport-building, listening, and questioning skills.
- Work experience in higher education would be advantageous.
