  • Full-time (1.0 FTE) appointment on a fixed term basis for 12 months.
  • Base salary range: $91,833 – $97,052 p.a. plus 17% superannuation.

About the area

The division of Student Wellbeing and Engagement facilitates a high-quality student experience through the provision of integrated and comprehensive services. The division is responsible for the delivery of the UWA Mental Health and Wellbeing Framework and the UWA Safe, Respectful and Inclusive Communities Framework.

Student Wellbeing and Engagement has five broad areas - tertiary prevention through the Complex Case Management team; early intervention, cohort initiatives and timely access to low barrier services through the Student Wellbeing team; counselling through the Psychology team; and the provision of a contemporary onboarding experience through the Student Engagement team; and primary prevention programs and clinical response to gender-based violence through the Safe and Respectful Communities team.

About the opportunity

  • You will aim to foster a safe, inclusive, and respectful University culture through awareness raising, education, and training initiatives including digital learning strategies.
  • Liaise with relevant staff and content experts to deliver a range of innovative and accessible online content and resources to improve student’s knowledge of gender-based violence, sexual assault, sexual harassment, LGBTQIA+ inclusion, online safety, and bystander action.
  • Facilitate effective, high-quality training and low-barrier education programs to students and staff whilst maintaining privacy, confidentiality, and compliance.

About you

  • Relevant tertiary qualification or demonstrated equivalent competency.
  • Minimum of 2 years' facilitation and primary prevention experience, preferably in a community or education setting.
  • Sound knowledge of the drivers of gender-based violence and prevention.
  • Experience in the development and delivery of programs, training, and initiatives aimed at community education.
  • Advanced computer literacy skills including the use of online Learning Management Systems (LMS).

Special Requirements

  • A current National Police Clearance Certificate.
  • Working with Children Check must have or willing to obtain.
