About the area

The National Imaging Facility WA Node (WA NIF) is based at the Centre for Microscopy, Characterisation and Analysis (CMCA) at The University of Western Australia. WA NIF is part of a national collaborative imaging network funded by the Australian Government through NCRIS. The WA Node specialises in human imaging and analysis, supporting clinical trials and medical research. Located at the Harry Perkins Institute of Medical Research on the QEII Medical Campus, WA NIF fosters a dynamic research environment that enhances UWA’s global research capabilities.

About the opportunity

  • Coordinate and lead activities that support multicentre and clinical trials with imaging data.
  • Develop and maintain governance structures for imaging data collection, analysis, and sharing.
  • Engage with industry, clinical trials groups, and national investigators to promote WA NIF infrastructure and services.

About you

  • Degree or postgraduate qualification in a relevant field (e.g. biomedical science, public health, health informatics, or IT).
  • Experience with imaging data, long-term data storage, and clinical trial governance.
  • Strong understanding of ethics processes for multi-site clinical trials.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and project management skills.
  • Proficiency in computing tools including databases, spreadsheets, and documentation systems.
