- Part-time (0.2 FTE) appointment on a fixed term basis for 2 years.
- Base salary range: Level D, $173,024 – $190,355 p.a. (pro-rata) plus 17% superannuation.

About the area
The UWA Data Institute leverages UWA’s expertise in data-driven research and innovation to facilitate research collaboration between academia, industry, government and the community. It is a gateway into data science and artificial intelligence research at UWA, an enabler of strategic cross-disciplinary research and a provider of significant quality engagement opportunities across UWA, industry and the community.
About the opportunity
- Assisting the strategic development of the UWA Data Institute (DI), and for operational aspects of specific projects and activities identified as key responsibilities.
- Facilitate the integration of DI members in initiative design and delivery and will also have an outward facing role providing key linkages with external organisations.
- play a key role in the development, implementation, and monitoring of the Institute’s strategy, particularly in the areas of member engagement, and development of linkages with stakeholders.
About you
- A higher academic degree (PhD) in a relevant discipline.
- Evidence of a strong personal contribution and commitment to high quality research, including evidence of high-quality research output and communication of that output beyond academia.
- Ability to pursue and attract research funding for data-driven research, both for own research and as part of a multidisciplinary research team.
- Ability to establish and foster cross disciplinary research projects.
- Capacity to provide academic leadership and maintain high academic and ethical standards.
