  • Be part of a collaborative and values-driven team driving the philanthropic and alumni engagement strategy at UWA.
  • Oversee a diverse portfolio of prospective and current supporters to the University, enabling donors to achieve meaningful impact through their philanthropy aligned with the University’s strategic plan.
  • Full-time appointment on an ongoing basis.
  • Base salary range: $104,243 – $115,661 p.a. plus 17% superannuation.

About the area

Development and Alumni Relations [DAR] oversees the University’s alumni engagement and philanthropic strategy. The function works collaboratively across the University to ensure the advancement strategy is built into outreach efforts across campus. The core responsibility of the development team is to build on the University’s community relations and secure philanthropic support for the University.

About the opportunity

  • Establish and cultivate relationships between the University and prospective and confirmed donors.
  • Develop targeted fundraising projects and proposals to solicit and secure major gifts and other support.
  • Collaborate across DAR and the University to identify opportunities for impact, connect donors with initiatives that align with their passions, and celebrate the positive change made possible through philanthropy.

About you

  • Relevant tertiary qualification or demonstrated equivalent competency.
  • Knowledge of advancement in higher education and an understanding of major international and national advancement.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated consultation, collaborative networking and negotiation skills and the ability to develop high quality relationships.
  • Highly developed organisational skills with the demonstrated ability to set priorities and to meet deadlines.
