- Opportunity for a highly motivated Research Officer to join the Youth Mental Health research team.
- Support the School of Population and Global Health to work on clinical trials.
- Full-time appointment on a fixed term basis for 1 year, 3 months.
- Base salary range: $83,212 – $92,231 p.a. plus 17% superannuation.

About the opportunity
- Assist in the recruitment and retention of young participants for the CanARY, CANCAN, and CanOPY trials across multiple sites, ensuring trial protocols are followed.
- Perform eligibility and protocol-based assessments, support medical assessments, and manage biological samples with confidentiality and sensitivity.
- Maintain professional relationships with participants and collaborate with recruitment sites, families, and mental health providers to ensure high-quality care and accurate data management.
About you
- Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Public Health, Occupational Therapy, Nursing or related health discipline.
- Sound understanding of mental illness including demonstrated experience of working with people with mental health concerns.
- Demonstrated experience in building relationships and working collaboratively with key stakeholders at various levels.
- Ability to work independently, show initiative and work productively within a team with the demonstrated ability to set goals, manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work with and respect diverse peoples, including First Nations People, culturally diverse and gender diverse peoples.
Note: A current Working with Children Check, police clearance, driver’s licence and access to a car will be required by the successful applicant.
