- Base salary range: $91,833 – $97,052 p.a. plus 17% superannuation.
About the area
The Dobney Hypertension Centre (DHC) has been established by collaboration between the RPH Research Foundation, The University of Western Australia and the Royal Perth Hospital. The Dobney Hypertension Centre acts as a tertiary referral centre and manages all aspects of clinical hypertension with a specific focus on difficult to control, secondary, and resistant hypertension.
This position is based at Royal Perth Hospital Research Foundation campus through the UWA Medical School. A core priority is medical and clinical research in the area of neurovascular hypertension and sympathetic nervous systems activation in cardiovascular and metabolic diseases.
About the opportunity
- Contribute to implementation and management of research project activities and undertake clinical assessments, perform experimental tests and assist with treatments and procedures to ensure the delivery of safe, quality care in the clinical research setting.
- Contribute to analysis of clinical research data and governance at RPH via Ethics, Safety Committees and the RPH Research Foundation and ensure compliance with relevant health and safety standards and GCP guidelines.
About you
- Nursing degree & AHPRA Registration
- Relevant nursing and clinical experience in a hospital or research environment.
- Demonstrated advanced clinical knowledge and experience in the delivery of evidence-based nursing care
- Ability to perform routine and complex clinical trial procedures in accordance with research protocols e.g. venepuncture, clinical assessments, laboratory sample processing, assistance with cardiovascular and neurovascular research techniques
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements relevant to the conduct clinical research e.g. ICH-GCP Guidelines
