About the area
The University Secretariat oversees and coordinates UWA’s formal corporate and academic governance structures. The Secretariat supports key decision-making processes by providing a reliable, confidential, and comprehensive secretariat and advisory service to the Senate, its committees, and the University’s controlled entities.
About the opportunity
- Serve as a strategic advisor on governance, legislative compliance, and regulatory matters at a senior level.
- Support the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Operations) in ensuring streamlined decision-making processes and robust corporate and academic governance.
- Manage governance systems, including Senate procedures, academic and corporate governance frameworks, and the University's Annual Report and compliance obligations.
About you
- Relevant degree or equivalent competency (Diploma of Corporate Governance and/or Company Directors Course highly regarded).
- Extensive senior management experience, including leading teams and managing budgets.
- Expertise in preparing and reviewing legislation, as well as policy development and review.
- Excellent interpersonal, written communication, and negotiation skills.

- Current Finance & Regulatory Checks
