- Base salary range: Level A, $80,520 – $108,362 p.a. plus 17% superannuation.
About the area
The School of Human Sciences was formed in 2017 as an amalgamation of the School of Anatomy, Physiology & Human Biology and the School of Sports Science, Exercise and Health. The School is one of the largest in the University and makes a significant contribution to the BSc majors in Anatomy and Human Biology, Physiology, Neuroscience, Biomedical Science and Sports Science. The School also contributes to medical, dental and paramedical education in all tertiary institutions within Western Australia.
About the opportunity
- Work on experimental sheep models of pregnancy, undertaken within the Preclinical Intensive Care Research Unit
- Contribute to a program of work focused on maternal and fetal physiological and developmental responses to adverse antenatal exposures, including inflammation and chronodisruption
- Investigate the physiological and developmental effects of extreme heat on pregnancy and fetal complications.
About you
- Completed 4 years of tertiary study or equivalent qualifications and experience and hold a relevant higher degree in academic field relevant to the discipline
- Experience in working with ovine models and expertise in surgical techniques.
- Demonstrated commitment in participating in high quality research evidenced by peer-reviewed journal articles published in respected scholarly journals
- Demonstrated ability to relate well to staff and students at all levels and evidence of a commitment to equity and diversity principles
