About the area
UWA’s Division of Obstetrics and Gynaecology covers research embracing women’s health and the health of infants before, during and after birth. Our work looks at a range of reproductive health and birth issues, from prevention of pre-term birth, through to the prediction and prevention of perinatal congenital anomalies and the diagnosis and treatment of gynaecological cancers.
About the opportunity
- Coordinate the MD Obstetrics and Gynaecology teaching at all WA urban teaching hospitals.
- Develop and manage relationships with Obstetrics and Gynaecology clinicians at the sites.
- Contribute to the MD program's interprofessional learning and simulation programs, as well as in teaching and assessment of procedural skills in the clinical phase of the course.
About you
- Recent experience in clinical practice as a health professional within the discipline of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, preferably in the last five years
- Experience as a tutor and/or supervisor of health professional students and/or junior doctors Experience in clinical education including procedural skills and simulation
- Effective organisational, verbal and written communication skills and negotiation skills
- Demonstrate a significant personal contribution and commitment to high quality teaching at all levels
