About the area
The Centre for English Language Teaching (CELT) works to enhance recognition of UWA internationally by providing high quality intensive English language programs and allied services, including language testing services. It contributes to UWA’s priorities and operations through its expertise in the teaching, learning, and testing of the English language and through its international promotional activities. Within this context, UWA CELT’s annual turnover of around $10M from tuition and test fee income enables it to be self-funding whilst making a contribution to services for the University’s students. UWA CELT is a part of the office of the Pro Vice-Chancellor (International) and has a key role in supporting and furthering the University’s international strategies. Study Tours is an important arm of UWA CELT’s business, with approximately $2.5 million revenue annually.
About the opportunity
- Provide senior administrative, planning, and logistical support within the Study Tours team across various aspects of UWA CELT’s Study Tour programs.
- Assist in the preparation of Study Tour proposals, quotes, schedules, documentation & materials and negotiate with internal and external suppliers and service providers.
- Assist with logistics, welcoming and escorting groups and ensuring programs remain on schedule and are delivered as proposed.
About you
- Relevant tertiary qualifications or demonstrated equivalent competency.
- Substantial relevant senior administrative experience at an appropriate level.
- High degree of sensitivity and appropriate responsiveness to cultural diversity.
- Excellent people management and client liaison skills.
