  • Full-time appointment on fixed term basis for 12 months.
  • Base salary range: $74,450 – $79,085 p.a. (pro-rata) plus 17% superannuation.

About the area

UWA Centre for Energy is an internationally renowned research facility in fuels, combustion science and technology, and sustainable energy development. The Centre's overall aim is to develop new knowledge and advanced technologies for efficient, effective and environmentally friendly utilisation of fuels and energy in the resources industries. The Centre for Energy is located within the School of Engineering, which is renowned for its award-winning researchers, teachers and facilities. The broad-based undergraduate and postgraduate programs are complemented by a wide range of research activities. The School is a leader in developing graduates in the critical industries of energy and mineral resources, advanced materials and emergent manufacturing, chemical processing and environmental protection.

About the opportunity

  • Support lab research and experiments using techniques like GC/GCMS and SEM/TEM/XRD.
  • Contribute to projects, trials, and grant-related work; stay open to learning new skills.

About you

  • Diploma or equivalent competency.
  • Relevant previous research and project experience.
  • Knowledge of microscopy techniques.
  • Ability to assist in and conduct research.
  • Willingness to learn new technical skills.
  • Well-developed organisational skills including ability to meet deadlines.
  • Well-developed verbal and written communication skills.
