About the area
The National Centre for Asbestos Related Diseases (NCARD) is an NHMRC Centre of Research Excellence within the University of Western Australia’s Centre for Respiratory Health. NCARD conducts interdisciplinary research focused on understanding the pathogenesis of asbestos-related diseases, with an emphasis on cancer immunology, biomarker discovery, and therapeutic development. Research activities span basic science, translational research, and clinical trials, and involve collaborations with national and international partners across academia, healthcare, and industry
About the opportunity
- Conduct research in tumour immunology, including techniques such as T-cell cloning, multi-parameter flow cytometry
- contribute to the planning, design, coordination and analysis of research experiments and activities in conjunction with more senior academic colleagues.
About you
- PhD in biomedical science or a related discipline
- Demonstrated experience with immunnological assays
- Strong track record in preparing scientific manuscripts and technical reports
- Desirable experience with advanced immunological techniques such as T-cell cloning, ELISA/ELISpot, TCR and single cell sequencing
