About the area
Dementia Training Australia (DTA) is a national consortium delivering evidence-based education to the dementia care workforce. Led by the University of Wollongong, DTA includes five Australian universities and Dementia Australia. UWA’s contribution, delivered through the Western Australian Centre for Health and Ageing, links cutting-edge research with practical workforce training in WA and SA. The role is based at Medical Research Foundation Building, next to Royal Perth Hospital.
About the opportunity
- Lead all operational aspects of UWA’s contribution to DTA, including planning, resourcing, and delivery of training programs.
- Oversee a small team and manage budget, reporting, and collaboration with national consortium partners.
- Ensure training packages meet quality standards and support the needs of the aged care workforce.
About you
- Tertiary qualification in a health sciences discipline or equivalent demonstrated competency.
- Substantial operational and team management experience.
- Experience in project delivery, preferably within health or education environments.
- Strong communication, planning, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to work independently, show initiative, and contribute to long-term strategy.
Special Requirements
- Willingness to travel interstate.
- Occasional after-hours work.
- Access to a private vehicle may be required.
