- Base salary range: Level A, $83,499 – $112,371 p.a. plus 17% superannuation.
About the area
The Cancer Epigenetics Laboratory at the Harry Perkins Institute of Medical Research is dedicated to developing novel therapeutic strategies for hard-to-treat cancers. Our fully funded research program leverages cutting-edge CRISPR technology to reprogram the cancer epigenome and overcome therapy resistance.
About the opportunity
- Lead our CRISPR research team, which includes research assistants and postgraduate student
- Drive innovation, provide mentorship, and contribute to advancing impactful cancer research with translational potential.
About you
- PhD in molecular biology or biochemisty with an emphasis on epigenetics and genomics.
- Understand molecular biology concepts and worked with CRISPR
- Established practical experience working and analysing high-throughput sequencing platforms
- Track record in high quality research evidenced by peer-reviewed journal articles
- Experience montoring or supervising staff and/or students at all levels
Note: A current National Police Clearance Certificate, Finance Check, Working with Children Check, and “C” class driver’s licence will be required by the successful applicant.
