About the area
The Implementation Support Team is responsible for the coordinated establishment of the University of Western Australia (UWA) India campus. This team oversees the planning, integration, and delivery of academic programs, student services, and operational functions to ensure the successful setup of a fully integrated and high-performing international branch campus. The work area ensures alignment across curriculum development, academic governance, student experience, infrastructure, finance, people and culture, IT, and compliance. It fosters collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement across all streams, with a strong focus on delivering academic quality, regulatory compliance, and strategic outcomes. The team also manages the transition from implementation to steady-state operations, ensuring a seamless handover to ongoing campus leadership.
About the opportunity
- Lead the Implementation Support Team to establish UWA India, ensuring readiness, compliance, and alignment with UWA’s strategic goals.
- Coordinate academic and operational streams to deliver a cohesive campus, managing interdependencies and enabling informed decisions.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across Australia and India, oversee performance, and ensure a smooth transition to steady-state operations.
About you
- Proven senior leadership experience in a large, complex, or cross-border organisation, preferably within higher education or international operations.
- Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and drive integration across academic, operational, and enabling functions to deliver major establishment or transformation programs.
- Extensive experience in institutional or campus establishment, including planning, sequencing, and coordination of multiple interdependent workstreams through to operational readiness.
- Strong understanding of higher education governance, quality assurance, and regulatory frameworks (e.g., TEQSA, AQF, or international equivalents) and the ability to apply these in an international or transnational context.
- Advanced stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills, with demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with senior university leaders, regulators, government, and external partners across diverse cultural contexts.
