The Education and Student Experience portfolio has oversight of the University’s education and student experience activities. These encompass curriculum management, academic quality and standards, the Centre for Learning and Teaching, promotion and recognition of academic excellence, work-integrated learning, student experiential learning, life-long learning, student administration, wellbeing and access, and global engagement.

The Office of the Pro Vice-Chancellor (Academic) is responsible for strategic leadership and oversight of curriculum design and innovation, including academic quality assurance and standards management, academic quality performance and review, academic integrity, learning and teaching excellence and scholarship strategies.

About the opportunity

  • Work closely with the Pro Vice-Chancellor and senior executives to oversee the Portfolio’s strategic direction and provide data-driven insights.
  • Coordinate, monitor, and evaluate key performance indicators, student surveys, and learning and teaching metrics aligned with portfolio-level reporting and outcomes.
  • Lead a team responsible for delivering analytics and insights to the Education and Student Experience Directorate, supporting operational effectiveness and informed strategic decision-making.

About you

  • Relevant tertiary qualification, preferably in Data Science or Computer science or demonstrated equivalent competency.
  • Experience in the higher education with a thorough understanding of government policies and procedures is preferred.
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills with the ability to manage external resources and vendors, to establish priorities and manage competing deadlines.
  • In-depth understanding of data visualisation technologies, such as Power BI.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing, implementing, and improving processes and procedures at an enterprise level.
