  • Base salary range: Level B: $118,150 - $139,812 / Level C: $144,143 – $165,809 p.a. (pro-rata) plus 17% superannuation.

About the area

The School of Health and Clinical Sciences at The University of Western Australia offers innovative and high-quality education and research across a range of health disciplines.

The Department of Pharmacy delivers a suite of postgraduate pharmacy programs, including the Doctor of Pharmacy and Graduate Certificates in advanced pharmacy practice areas. Our team works collaboratively with patients, healthcare professionals, and healthcare systems to optimise medicines use through research and education.

About the opportunity

  • Deliver independent teaching, unit coordination, and curriculum development for practitioner development courses, including the Graduate Certificate in Quality Use of Medicines and Prescribing.
  • Ensure high-quality, accredited course delivery by aligning content with current and emerging clinical practice, coordinating teaching teams, and engaging key stakeholders to support placements.
  • Contribute flexibly across specialty areas, with the ability to be redeployed in line with workforce needs and strategic priorities.

About you

Lecturer (Level B):

  • PhD or higher professional qualification relevant to pharmacy practice education.
  • Ability to deliver innovative teaching approaches and adapt to new specialty areas.
  • Commitment to inclusive teaching practices and equity principles
  • Advanced clinical practice experience in medicines management, collaborative care, and/or prescribing-related decision-making (e.g., deprescribing, dose adjustment, therapeutic substitution, or protocol-driven prescribing).

Additionally, a Senior Lecturer applying for the role will have the following: -

Senior Lecturer (Level C):

  • Demonstrated excellence in curriculum development and innovative teaching approaches.
  • Experience mentoring junior colleagues and commitment to inclusive teaching practices.

Note: Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (Ahpra) is required by the successful applicant.
