WACHS Great Southern (GS)and the Department of Nursing, University of Western Australia, invites applications from experienced registered nurses interested in a part-time secondment to a Nursing Academic Lecturer role, based in Albany.

About the opportunity
- The role will require the ideal candidate to provide clinical supervision during placements across the GS region, alongside academic mentorship and support
- Facilitate simulation-based learning activities and assessment of students
- Contribute to curriculum development, adopting a continuous improvement methodology
- Engage with regional clinical partners to foster academic–practice collaboration.
About you
Previous academic experience is welcomed but not essential. Comprehensive orientation to the role and professional development opportunities will be provided. This secondment offers a supported pathway into academic practice while recognising the importance of clinical currency in the delivery of contemporary nursing education of the future.

A current National Police Clearance, Working with Children Check, and “C” class driver’s licence will be required by the successful applicant along with occasional travel interstate
