  • Play a pivotal role in the financial and operational leadership of WA’s only dental teaching hospital.
  • Contribute to the success of dental education and clinical services by ensuring robust financial oversight and efficient administrative operations.
  • Full-time appointment on an ongoing basis.
  • Base salary range: $134,288 – $142,099 p.a. plus 17% superannuation.

About the area

The UWA Dental School and the Oral Health Centre of Western Australia (OHCWA) form the state’s primary hub for dental education, clinical training and public oral healthcare. Together they deliver world‑class teaching and specialist services, operating within a unique clinical–academic environment that must meet university, health service and accreditation requirements. This role sits centrally within that environment, supporting high-quality education, research and patient care.

About the opportunity

  • Lead financial, business and administrative operations across a dual‑sector environment spanning university and hospital‑like settings.
  • Influence strategic decisions by overseeing budgets, contract performance, clinical revenue, business systems and accreditation support.
  • Drive operational excellence and improvement initiatives, ensuring the delivery of high‑quality education and clinical services.

About you

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in finance, accounting, business, health administration, economics, or related disciplines.
  • Substantial demonstrated experience in senior financial management within large organisations.
  • Substantial experience in health service, hospital, or clinical business operations (including activity data, revenue cycle or contract funding models).
  • Excellent analytical and financial modelling capability.
  • Excellent demonstrated ability to manage procurement, contracting and supply chains.
