About the area
The UWA School of Engineering is renowned for its award-winning researchers, teachers and facilities. It is a multidisciplinary school offering education and research in a number of engineering disciplines. This includes civil, environmental, mining, chemical, mechanical, electrical and electronic engineering. Successful applicants will work in the large Fluid Science and Resources Research (FSRR) Group (https://www.fsr.ecm.uwa.edu.au/) which primarily conducts research across the oil and gas industry. The relevant theme to these positions is natural gas processing and separations.
About the opportunity
- Maintain and operate specialised apparatus, prepare adsorbent materials, and conduct demonstration experiments.
- Design and manage measurement schedules, collate and assess data, and perform uncertainty analysis.
- Prepare presentation and reporting material, as well as write peer-reviewed scientific publications.
About you
- PhD in an academic field relevant to the discipline or other higher professional qualifications appropriate to their discipline.
- Experience in model tuning and development and process simulations for gas separations.
- Demonstrated commitment in participating in high-quality research, evidenced by peer reviewed journal articles published in respected scholarly journals.
- An ability and willingness to direct and supervise students.
- Demonstrated ability to positively contribute to team, school and wider University activities such as team and school meetings, strategic planning and program development.
