About the area
UWA is making significant investments in the Information and Technology Services to enable its strategic direction and goals. UWA is also looking to utilise technology advancements to expand its services and create new and innovative teaching and research models.
Connected Campus has now successfully completed its initial transformation phase and is transitioning into an ongoing operational function focused on Network Lifecycle Replacement. This team will be responsible for the continuous planning, delivery, and refresh of network infrastructure across the University, ensuring assets remain current, resilient, and aligned to teaching, research, and operational requirements.
About the opportunity
- Prepare network design specifications based on business requirements under guidance.
- Implement and maintain network topologies, security measures and connectivity solutions for various environments.
- Investigate and implement opportunities to improve operational efficiency and quality for infrastructure platforms through automation techniques, documentation and operational processes.
About you
- Relevant tertiary qualification in a business discipline or equivalent competency.
- Extensive experience in the design, implementation, and support of specific network components using agreed architectures, design standards, patterns and methodology.
- Investigates alternative network architectures, networking topologies and design options.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective stakeholder relationships whilst always remaining fully customer focused.
- Working knowledge of the Higher Education sector is desirable.
