  • Base salary range: $134,288 – $142,099 p.a. (pro-rata) plus 17% superannuation.

About the area

Enterprise Education sits within the Deputy Vice‑Chancellor (Education & Student Experience) portfolio and acts as the University’s central gateway between academia and external partners across industry, government and the not‑for‑profit sector. The area leads industry‑engaged education, student employability, experiential learning, education partnerships, entrepreneurial activity, and lifelong learning through micro‑credentials and short courses.

By designing high‑impact partnerships and nationally aligned initiatives, Enterprise Education enables contemporary student experiences while delivering measurable value to partners and the broader Western Australian community.

About the opportunity

  • Provide strategic leadership for enterprise education at UWA, shaping and delivering a cohesive portfolio of industry partnerships, funded initiatives and innovative education programs that enhance student employability and partner value.
  • Lead and develop a high‑performing enterprise engagement team, delivering a coordinated, one‑stop function that connects academic capability with industry, government and not‑for‑profit organisations.
  • Drive growth and impact through senior‑level stakeholder relationships, competitive grant and proposal development, and oversight of complex, multi‑stakeholder initiatives in a dynamic higher‑education environment.

About you

  • Demonstrated experience leading and developing high‑performing teams, fostering accountability, capability and resilience.
  • Proven success building senior‑level relationships with industry, government or not‑for‑profit partners to co‑design solutions that deliver shared value.
  • Strong expertise in identifying, developing and securing competitive funding, including grants, tenders and proposals, and overseeing delivery and governance.
  • Highly developed strategic thinking, project leadership and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to navigate ambiguity and competing priorities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including high‑level consultation, negotiation and influence.
