  • Base salary range: $ 95,231 – $100,643 p.a. plus 17% superannuation.

The Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research) (DVCR) Portfolio oversees research policy development and general oversight of the University’s research activities, which encompass postgraduate education, research and quality and impact, research infrastructure, industry liaison and intellectual property and commercialisation.

The principal role of the Pro Vice-Chancellor Research Training is to lead and oversee the Graduate Research School and the career development activities from HDR to ECR and mid-career researchers. The Graduate Research School oversees all activities for HDR pertaining to

About the opportunity 

  • Provide expert advice and high-quality support to HDR candidates, supervisors, and staff on all aspects of the HDR lifecycle, including admissions, enrolments, scholarships, candidature, examinations, and completions.
  • Process and coordinate HDR student matters in line with university policies and regulatory requirements (e.g., HESF, TEQSA, AQF, RTP, ESOS).
  • Administer HDR scholarship programs, including assessing applications, managing offers and acceptances, and processing payments.

About you

  • Completion of a relevant degree, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or relevant administrative experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in a complex administrative role
  • knowledge of HDR processes, policies, and regulatory frameworks is preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage professionally and respectfully with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, including the ability to prioritise tasks, manage competing deadlines, and maintain attention to detail.
