As part of the Platform and Operations team, the End User Compute function delivers enterprise desktop engineering services that support thousands of users across a complex, multi-platform environment.

About the opportunity
- Lead the development, management and continuous improvement of the University’s desktop Standard Operating Environment (SOE) across Windows, Linux and Mac platforms, ensuring performance, scalability and security.
- Manage end-to-end application packaging and deployment using best practice enterprise tools, while maintaining a strong focus on automation, reliability and user experience.
- Provide advanced technical support, resolving complex incidents, driving service improvements, and collaborating with cross-functional IT teams to deliver high-quality outcomes.
About you
- Proven experience in desktop engineering, endpoint management, or EUC (End User Computing) within a complex enterprise environment supporting Windows, Linux and Mac.
- Strong expertise in SOE design, application packaging, software deployment, and patch management aligned to best practice frameworks.
- Experience working within ITIL-aligned service environments, delivering Level 3 technical support and managing incidents, problems and change requests.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence outcomes and deliver customer-focused solutions.
- Highly developed analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver results.
