- Base salary range: $134,288 – $142,099 p.a. (pro-rata) plus 17% superannuation.
About the area
The Strategy, Planning & Performance team sits within the Office of the Chief Financial Officer and plays a central role in shaping the University’s long-term direction. The team integrates strategy, planning, and performance monitoring to support informed decision-making, optimise resource allocation, and strengthen organisational performance.
Working at the centre of the University, the team partners with academic and professional areas to deliver evidence-based insights, institutional reporting, and strategic performance frameworks that support Executive leadership, governance bodies, and external stakeholders.
About the opportunity
- Lead the development and delivery of the University’s strategic performance framework, translating institutional priorities into measurable outcomes, KPIs, and performance insights that drive decision-making.
- Provide high-level strategic advice to senior leaders and governance bodies, shaping investment, prioritisation, and organisational performance through data-driven insights and compelling performance narratives.
- Build strong partnerships across faculties and portfolios, leading performance conversations, influencing stakeholders, and driving a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and performance maturity.
About you
- Proven experience in strategic planning, performance management, or organisational performance roles, ideally within large or complex environments (e.g. higher education, government, or corporate).
- Strong ability to translate data and strategic intent into clear, actionable insights, with experience in KPI/OKR frameworks, performance reporting, and analytics-led decision-making.
- Demonstrated success providing strategic advice to senior executives and contributing to governance processes and executive-level reporting.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, with the ability to lead performance discussions, challenge constructively, and build trusted relationships.
- Highly developed communication, leadership, and organisational skills, including experience managing teams, driving complex initiatives, and delivering outcomes in fast-paced environments.
