  • Base salary range: $104,243 - $115,661 plus 17% superannuation.

The Office of the Pro Vice-Chancellor Indigenous Education and School of Indigenous Studies offer various programs and support services, advocating for Indigenous cultural competency policy and education at local and international levels.

About the opportunity

  • Support the implementation of Indigenous workforce initiatives and action items aligned to the University’s Indigenous Workforce Strategy and Action Plan.
  • Provide practical, culturally informed advice and support to managers and staff on Indigenous workforce matters, including recruitment, onboarding, retention and staff engagement.
  • Act as a key point of contact for Indigenous staff, supporting engagement, connection and access to appropriate supports and development opportunities.

About you

  • Relevant tertiary qualification or demonstrated equivalent competency.
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully engage and work with Indigenous peoples and communities.
  • Substantial relevant experience in Indigenous workforce development and recruitment.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide high level advice and facilitate delivery of Indigenous Workforce Strategies.
  • Ability to work independently, show initiative, problem solve and work productively as part of a team.

Note: Employment checks will include information on gender-based violence, sexual harassment, and related misconduct to meet legal obligations. A current National Police Clearance, Working with Children Check, and “C” class driver’s licence will be required by the successful applicant.
