- Base salary range: Level B, $118,150 – $139,812 p.a. plus 17% superannuation.

About the opportunity
- Lead and deliver field-based hydrological research across seven observational sites from Dandaragan to Myalup
- Design and execute field campaigns, including installation and maintenance of monitoring equipment
- Manage, curate and analyse large environmental datasets aligned with regulatory standards
- Apply and develop hydrological and numerical modelling techniques to generate predictive insights
- Produce high-impact research outputs, including peer-reviewed publications and reports
- Collaborate with government stakeholders, including the Department of Water and Environmental Regulation
- Supervise and mentor casual staff, students and volunteers in field and research activities
About you
- A PhD in hydrology, hydrogeology, geochemistry, numerical modelling, reactive transport, or a related discipline
- Demonstrated research track record with publications in peer-reviewed journals
- Proven experience in field-based environmental or hydrological research
- Strong skills in data management, modelling and analysis, ideally in groundwater or recharge systems
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders, including government agencies
