About the area
The Academic Services team delivers high-quality administrative and operational support to academic leaders, staff and students across the Faculty. With a strong focus on continuous improvement and service excellence, the team plays a critical role in enabling effective academic operations.
The Rural Clinical School of Western Australia (RCSWA) sits within the Medical School and facilitates rural clinical training for medical students from multiple universities. Spanning over 3,500 kilometres across metropolitan and regional locations, the RCSWA is dedicated to delivering a high-quality rural education experience and strengthening the rural healthcare workforce.
About the opportunity
- Provide end-to-end administrative support across a rural site, ensuring efficient office operations, systems coordination and service delivery.
- Act as a key point of contact for students and staff, responding to enquiries and providing guidance on policies, procedures and processes.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders across multiple sites to support academic activities and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
About you
- Demonstrated experience in a busy administrative or operations support role, ideally within higher education, healthcare, or a complex organisation.
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise competing deadlines and work autonomously.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with a commitment to delivering high-quality customer service.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and administrative systems (e.g. databases, spreadsheets, email platforms).
- A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with the ability to improve processes and contribute to team effectiveness.
Note: Employment checks will include information on gender-based violence, sexual harassment, and related misconduct to meet legal obligations. A current “C” class driver’s licence will be required by the successful applicant.
The RCSWA spans multiple rural sites and an urban centre node. Staff are required to be based at a nominated site.
