About the area
The Directorate of Student Success and Progression sits within the Education and Student Experience portfolio at The University of Western Australia (UWA). The team plays a critical role across the student lifecycle, including admissions, enrolments, fees, scholarships, advising, and graduation.
Within this, the Admissions team is responsible for delivering high-quality, efficient, and student-focused admissions processes that support the University’s strategic goals. Working collaboratively with academic and professional teams, Admissions ensures fair, compliant, and data-driven student selection outcomes across diverse pathways.
About the opportunity
- Lead and coordinate the end-to-end delivery of TAC admissions and complex alternative entry pathways, ensuring accurate, compliant and timely outcomes across multiple applicant cohorts.
- Provide expert operational leadership, including supervising staff, resolving complex admissions cases, and acting as a key escalation point for high-risk or sensitive matters.
- Drive continuous improvement by overseeing admissions systems, business rules, data integrity and policy implementation to enhance scalability, quality assurance and applicant experience.
About you
- Relevant tertiary qualification or demonstrated equivalent competency.
- Demonstrated experience managing or coordinating staff in a complex operational or technical environment, including capability development and performance oversight.
- Extensive experience working with admissions systems, processes or data‑driven workflows within a university or similarly complex organisation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with demonstrated ability to provide authoritative advice on complex technical or policy‑driven matters.
- Excellent organisational skills with the demonstrated ability to set priorities and to meet deadlines.
