About the area
Situated on Whadjuk Noongar Boodja, the Lawrence Wilson Art Gallery (LWAG) is a university art gallery of international standing and custodian of two significant collections: the UWA Art Collection and the Cruthers Collection of Women’s Art. Through stewardship, growth, and activation of these collections, and collaboration with the Berndt Museum, LWAG strengthens the educational, research, and cultural life of UWA. The gallery plays an important role in building cultural vitality by championing artists, fostering critical reflection, and creating meaningful connections with communities locally, nationally, and internationally.
About the opportunity
- Lead the day-to-day operations and business development of LWAG.
- Drive governance, risk management, and reporting processes to ensure compliance and efficiency.
- Support income generation and infrastructure projects that future-proof the gallery.
About you
- Relevant tertiary qualification or demonstrated equivalent competency.
- Proven experience in business management, including financial, risk, and people management.
- Strong organisational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong interpersonal and negotiation abilities.
- Demonstrated ability to research, analyse and solve complex problems.
Note: A current National Police Clearance Certificate, Working with Children Check, and “C” class driver’s licence will be required by the successful applicant.
