  • Graduate Research Assistant (Level 5) or Research Officer (Level 6) – dependent on level of skills and experience
  • Salary range: Level 5; $72,531 - $80,391 p.a. or Level 6; $83,005 - $87,723 p.a. plus 9.5% superannuation

About the team

The School of Human Sciences is a large multi-disciplinary School with research and teaching focused on better understanding what it is to be human, from our structure, function, development and genetics, to adaptation, performance and evolution.

Our students are provided with a fundamental interdisciplinary understanding of human function and the manner in which it adapts to challenging and disruptive change. Our graduates become innovative and integrative scientific thinkers, whose careers can be found in fields relating to human structure, development and performance

About the opportunity

Graduate Research Assistant Level 5: As the appointee you will, under limited direction, provide a high level of assistance to researchers on the NHMRC project, “Innate Defence Regulator Peptide for Protecting the Preterm Infant from Postnatal Sepsis” and other related studies in newborn lambs.

Research Officer Level 6: As the appointee you will, under limited direction, contribute to the initial planning, design and coordination of research projects and activities in conjunction with the principal investigator and manage the laboratory for the NHMRC project, “Innate Defence Regulator Peptide for Protecting the Preterm Infant from Postnatal Sepsis”.
